Para Mamí
Short term therapy sessions for new moms/birthing people of newborns.
“Para Mamí” are pro bono short-term therapy sessions for new moms/birthing people of newborns. My goal is to provide you with support and care to help facilitate the many components of healing that come with becoming a mamí/parent.
About Para Mamí
The 40 days after the birth of a baby is traditionally known as la cuarentena. In Latin American culture, the cuarentena is a time for new moms to rest and recover while the women in their communities provide housekeeping and support at home. This is very much in line with our collectivistic culture.
Aside from having the privilege to care for new chuiquitita, I've learned that becoming a mom/parent also means showing up for other new moms/parent the way my cuarentena village showed up for me.
Staying true to what I've learned, I am launching this offering to be a part of your cuarentena.
"Para Mamí"is a set of eight pro bono therapy sessions for new moms/birthing people of newborns. My goal with this short-term therapy offering is to provide you with support, care, and facilitate the many components of healing that come with becoming a mamí/parent.
I am currently offering one (1) Para Mamí slot at a time, for eight sessions.
Mamís/birthing people will be booked on a first come-first serve basis. Registration opens June 1, 2025
