Who does Nueve Lunas Therapy & Wellness serve?

Nueve Lunas Therapy specializes in providing culturally affirming mental health care specifically tailored for Latine women and mothers. Although we specialize in women and mothers, we also all birthing people, teens, men, and we’re LBGTQ+ affirming.

Although our name reflects the evolution on the gestational period, Nueve Lunas (Nine Moons), also serves people who experienced unexpected end of pregnancy, planned end of pregnancy, and people experiencing challenges with fertility. All of it is considered perinatal mental health.

We are dedicated to supporting individuals who seek to heal, grow, and thrive within a community that understands and celebrates their unique cultural experiences.

Do you offer services virtually or in-person?

We offer both virtual and in-person therapy sessions, providing flexibility to fit your comfort, schedule, and lifestyle.

What is your Fee?

We offer self-pay rated based on an anti-opressive rate structure that rages between $175-$215. Use the questions below to help reflect what fee might align with you.

  • Are you and your family homeowners or landowners? (This question does not apply to those who are Native or Indigenous)

  • Have you attended private education institutions or do you have an advanced degree?

  • Are you able to make minimum payments on bills or credit cards?

  • Have you been able to easily access and afford health insurance for yourself and your family members?

  • Do you have zero to no debt and/or do you have disposable income?

  • Do you have a safety net composed of “financially stable” or wealthy family and friends?

  • Do you have U.S. Citizenship?

  • Does your income only support you, and not other loved ones?

  • Have you or do you expect to inherit money or property?

  • Have you (or could you have attended college and/or graduate school?

Luna Nueva ($215): Yes to 7-10 questions

Full Cost ($205): Yes to 5-7 questions

Do you accept insurance?

We accept some insurances:

  • Optum/United Healthcare

What is your cancelation policy?

Cancellations are required 24 hours in advance. Any appointments scheduled but not kept (no-show), as well as any appointments cancelled within 24 hours of scheduled time will have a full session fee is charged immediately after notice of cancelation or no-show. A session is considered a no-show if the client is late longer than 15 minutes. A start time after 15 minutes compromises the efficacy of the therapeutic hour. If you have a contagious illness (or if anyone in your household has an illness), we ask that you do not come to your appointment. Video conferencing through a HIPAA-compliant platform is available if you are not able to come to the office.

Our therapists specialize in addressing trauma, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, perinatal mental health, maternal mental health, identity issues, family dynamics, and other every day challenges. We are committed to providing compassionate care tailored specifically to your needs.

What should I expect in during my first therapy session?

During your first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming environment where we'll focus on building trust and connection. We’ll discuss your goals, gather some background information, and collaboratively explore how therapy can best support your healing journey.

Is therapy confidential?

Absolutely. Your privacy and confidentiality are our top priorities. Information shared in therapy sessions is protected by law, and we adhere strictly to professional ethical standards to ensure your safety and comfort.
