What Are Core Values?

For many in the Latinx community, core values often include familia, respeto, hard work, and comunidad. However, If you grew up as a first-generation Latinx-American or spent a major part of your life in the US, it is possible that you have have assimilated due to the American constructs we interact with on a daily basis. Therefore, your values may or may nit include traditional Latinx core values; and that is OKAY!

Understanding your core values can help you:

Why Are Core Values Important for Mental Health?
